One of the worst ones I've seen as it happened, no words to describe how unfortunate for him.

Sad to see because you're watching a guy's dream get blown up right before your eyes and millions of dollars gone in a mere matter of seconds. On top of the fact who knows if he'll be even able to walk normally after that.

Fortunately sports medicine has come a long long ways and I pray that somehow it's not as bad as it looks and he'll be able to maybe run again and have a shot with an NFL team.

This the prime example of why I don't blame these kids at all when they leave school early and hit the pros. Yes the odds of a devastating injury are surprisingly low considering the amount of snaps and games that are played at both the college and pro ranks but that risk is always still there. If someone tells me if I hit the draft now I would be a 1st or 2nd round pick then I'm gone.

Some people are using this injury as basis for their argument that college football players should be able to declare earlier.

Worse football injury that I've ever seen. Freaking sucks for him, his entire future is in question. He might not be able to walk normally again let alone play football. It sucks going from a possible 1st rounder to not playing again. I feel terrible for him.

Reports are starting to trickle in.

Dislocate knee (with hints there is a lot more)

Could be 2014 before he's healthy

Career not necessarily over - Spurrier says players have come back from this.

Sad news.

@davidpollack47
I knew the news was bad for Marcus Lattimore, but just tried to hold out hope. Broken femur, & 4 torn ligaments

His career is pretty much done.

Sad but true

Right now he's going to have to worry about walking without a limp let alone be an RB again.

I just hope he really hit the books in school because he's going to need that degree.

broken femur and torn ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL.

That was a bad one. I hope he can return to football. I don't think I'd have the guts to after such a horrific injury.

Nepolian McCallon from the Raiders is still the worst injury I ever saw. Monday night, Raiders/Niners, Ken Norton folds his knee the complete wrong way as his foot was stuck in the pile.

Agreed. McCallum's was the worst I've seen, followed by Theisman's. Mccallum was just a thread from losing his leg as I remember. They could not put all the arteries and veins together in order to get blood flowing back to the leg.

It was a nasty injury for sure, hopefully he can make it back from the injury.
