Amare was having an MVP type season in his first year with NYK until they traded for Melo.

He is just...chronically broken.

I'm not sure why he is looking at any Team outside of the Spurs.

Find it funny how Knicks fans hate Amare.

He made them relevant again and is probably the only reason Melo wanted to be traded there because Melo grand plan was to join Amare in NY and convince CP3 to join when he was a free agent.

Any rumors where he might end up.

Tons....

Ken Berger: With interest from Spurs, Grizzlies and Clippers, rival execs view Mavs as favorites to land Amar'e Stoudemire when he clears waivers. Stoudemire said to be intrigued with potential role on Mavs, including how he and Dirk Nowitzki would complement each other, source says. Twitter @KBergCBS

That's exactly what Melo said.

Don't be mad at Amare. Be mad at the inept GM that gave him that uninsured contract:doh:.

. "My reaction when I first heard [about the buyout], which was maybe ten minutes ago, it was hard for me to believe, I thought they were lying about it," Anthony said after scoring 14 points to go with 7 rebounds for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star Game. "Knowing that I'm losing a friend, a teammate, a guy who I wanted to come to the city and play with. One of the main reasons why I'm a New York Knick today was because of him. To see him leave, to see the situation and where he's at right now, I know what he wants, and you have to respect that. As an athlete, as a competitor you only want the best for your friends."

Who offered him the contract? Be mad at who offered him the contract and not amare for signing it.

Phoenix knew Amare knee would be an issue which is why they only offered him a 3 yr deal.

Sorry that your FO is stupid

He was a top 2-3 PF in the league while in Phoenix. I feel like the only reason he'd return would be for our training staff. They revived Grant Hill, Shaq, Vince Carter, J-Rich, and many others along with extending Nash's career.. if anyone can work their magic on him it's Aaron Nelson and his crew.

Amare was never a bust.

Injury prone? Yes

Bust? Hell no

From 2004-2011 excluding one season where he played only 3 games, Amare avg at least 20 PPG every season in that time period.

The guy was far from a bust. Heck he avg 25 & 8 in his first year as a Knick

Exactly. I actually wanted him instead of Bosh in 2010 before I knew Lebron was coming. I thought he would work perfect in a P&R offense with Wade

The Suns have arguably the best training staff in the NBA. Shaq raved about them when he was there.

Yeah, he was a hell of a player on his own. Nash just made him better, like he does to everyone he plays with so people assumed Amare was only good because of Nash which was not true. He was a freak in his prime. It's too bad he had all those knee procedures early on in his career.

he was an absolute bust here in NY, and it wasn't so much his knees that did him in imo, it was his ego.. he didn't have to hit the weights /PEDS, whatever he did to bulk up... it slowed him down to a crawl.. he had no inside game and without a true point man here in NY , made him worthless
