Kirk Ferentz's 2nd year as Iowa's coach and they went 3-9. Iowa State went 9-3 as Dan McCarney coached his 6th year at ISU.
2001: Iowa went 7-5, ISU went 7-5
2002: Iowa went 11-2, ISU went 7-7
2003: Iowa went 10-3, ISU went 2-10
2004: Iowa went 10-2, ISU went 7-5
2005: Iowa went 7-6, ISU went 7-5
2006: Iowa went 6-7, ISU went 4-8
2007: Iowa went 6-6, ISU went 3-9
2008: Iowa went 9-4, ISU went 2-10
2009: Iowa went 11-2, ISU went 7-6
2010: Iowa went 8-5, ISU went 5-7
2011: Iowa went 7-6, ISU went 6-7
This could be the first time in 12 seasons that Iowa did not go to a bowl or was not bowl eligible and Iowa State was. It's also the first season in 12 seasons that Iowa State finished with more wins.
This is if Iowa loses 1 of their last 2 games and ISU beats Kansas. I just hope this is a 1-year thing.
