Well guy's last game of the season & I just want to say it's been a pleasure meeting all of you, despite the dreadful season we have had. Let's just hope our fortune's turnaround next season for the sake of all Lakers Nation.

Yep, LALakersboy. Most of the time it was you and me and TJF12, CL67, Kold, Hangman, and a couple other folks who were showing up on the SportsHoopla for the games. I'll be around here on the SportsHoopla. There is a very good chance I'll miss this final one due to work. But it was fun even though the year sucked and it'll be interesting to see who the Lakers re-sign and who is not here going forward.

Interesting (in a positive way) comments from Jodie Meeks on this year's team. Count him among those who want to come back.


"Everybody on this team is positive," Meeks said. "Just because it's our personality and we love playing basketball. I feel like it could be the opposite...it could turn the opposite way and be could be real selfish, but it hasn't been the case."


Also, apparently there was a contingent of Lakers fans who started a "Keep Gasol" chant during the last game vs. the Jazz in Utah.

I agree we need to re-sign Pau. I still think having him play the 5 with Love the 4 is a perfect fit. 2 very versatile bi g men.

Yea Hizzle. Pau's skills have not eroded too much and he needs to have a coach that believes in him and assurances from the FO that they want him to retire a Laker. If he gets those things, I think another 3-4 years is not entirely out of the question especially with Kelly AND a KLove around.

The only problem with those two playing together is the lay-up line that will be happening on the defensive side of the court.

All things considered and based on the expectations going in, I really have few complaints. I wanted to see a team that was fun to watch and played hard.

These guys were fun to watch at times, overmatched a lot of the time, but they never gave up and played hard all season.


The fact that through it all, these guys have stuck together and seem to genuinely like each other says a lot about these players and suggests that D'Antoni has done a better job this season than some folks want to give him credit for.

As a result we have found a few keepers.

I think the Lakers will keep Marshall. He's a solid backup PG and won't cost much to keep.

I agree about Marshall. I think the Lakers will keep Sacre, also, especially if D'Antoni is back next season.
