Irving's mother, Elizabeth Larson, was a descendant of the Standing Rock Sioux but was adopted out as a small child. Irving, whose mother died when he was 4, has known about his lineage and has recently starting embracing it.

He stunned members of the tribe in 2016 when he said in an interview with ESPN that his mother was a member. That sent the elders scrambling to identify a lineage, and they found his grandparents and great-grandparents from the White Mountain family in the Standing Rock reservation in South Dakota.

Wow, instant grandparents.

The New England Historic Genealogical Society provided CNN with initial research showing several members of Warren's maternal family claiming Cherokee heritage. The Native American link extends to Warren's great-great-great grandmother O.C. Sarah Smith, who is said to be described as Cherokee in an 1894 marriage license application.

Warren explains Native American listing was to meet people

Joey Crawford: David Stern ordered me to get therapy after ejecting Tim Duncan for laughing

Crawford is & always has been a jackass.

best troll job ever
it wasn't even a troll job-- kyrie thinks he is some deep thinking intellectual and was doing a "thought expirement" or some such bullshit.....his 3 months at Duke turned him into a very very smart individual that is just thinking on a totally different level then us normal folk. His ability to dribble and shoot apparently makes him REALLY REALLY smart too.

:rolleyes2:

Why not post all his accomplishments again to let us all know how great he will be?

Pretty much every athlete who is loudly vocal about issues not pertaining to their sport is extremely out of touch with reality/common people, including athletes like Kyrie, LeBron, Kaepernick, etc. Even if they grew up in less than prosperous financial situations for part or all of their youth, the vast majority of professional athletes spend a large portion of their formative years being showered with copious amounts of praise just for being good at athletics. Most of them have very little recollection of not being idolized for sports at whatever level they played at at any given time of their lives. Imagine being told you'll probably make the pros from early on in high school if not earlier, constantly showered with praise for it, and being one of the most popular kids in school for it.

A lot of them end up taking those experiences and deluding themselves into thinking it transcends their greatness beyond their sport whether or not they legitimately are qualified as such. Meanwhile, the kids who spend their formative years rigorously studying and putting effort into things like STEM related academics, music, language, etc. are by no means automatically rewarded for those endeavors on a social level, and certainly not to the extent of the athletes. In other words, the athletes are showered with far more praise than people who will actually be doing quantifiable good for the world as adults besides entertaining people by throwing a ball into a hoop or catching a football. It's not at all surprising that many of those athletes would let that inflate their egos.

yah that LeBron/Maverick Carter show on HBO is a perfect example. I could only watch like 5 minutes of it before gagging. How out of touch they are to actual reality is mind-boggling.

Kyrie's skill as a basketball player has nothing to do with the fact that he is an assclown of extraordinary proportion. lol.
