Both picks were impressive. The first looked like it involved a little luck, but the second was a play shut down corners make. This kid could be special.

My initial reaction was we should get Pryor or Clinton Dix instead, I had no idea who he was and kinda scratched my head at the pick. However, the more I learned about him, the more I liked. I thought he'd be a solid corner, but his performance tonight has me excited. If peanut can train him to strip the ball, I think the sky is the limit for him. He's got ridiculous coverage skills.

Heck, all the turn overs were pretty spectacular if you ask me. Well maybe not Jared Allen's Kap shouldn't have been running the ball like that. Well done. We will find out real soon how "real deal" Fuller is. Sad to see Tillman go out like that.

I was sooo pissed when Aaron Donald went one pick in front of us. I thought he would have solidified our line with the signings we made.

Then, we picked Fuller, and I looked into him. I saw the Mayock praise, along with the flocks of VT fans telling me how great of a player and kind of guy he was. I was more than happy.

Every single guy on the Bears just praised him and how professional he is in their post-games. BMarsh just said he reminds him of the way Champ Bailey looked when he went to Denver and went up against him in practice.

Now, I'm just so thrilled that he's putting it on the field. He seems like he will be a great Bear for a while.

Hey, he has a brother who is at VT right now, I believe a freshman or sophomore. Tim Jennings contract will be up in a few years… I say a Fuller/Fuller CB duo!

We were also able to see both Dix and Pryor making big mistakes in yesterdays games. Those were the guys I thought we were targeting. Fuller was definitely the most ready to play. Now, why we signed both Tillman and Jennings after we drafted him is still questionable, but it looks like he Tillman is done and Fuller is in for good.

He's a Sophomore who was one of the best CBs in America as a Freshman. He's already being projected as a first rounder, and is probably going to be the top CB prospect since Peterson when he comes out. As much as I love the idea of a Fuller/Fuller duo, I hope we aren't picking in the top 10, which is probably what we'd need to get him.

Exactly. I don't think any of your fans want to be picking where Kendall Fuller is going to go. He's probably the best at his position this year, and has to come back and play next year too.

Believe it or not, the guy I wanted that I SWORE we were going to pick at 14 (even passing up Pryor, Clinton Dix and Fuller) was Deone Buchanon. That said, last night I found out that I have been mispronouncing Kyle's last name. It looks like it is pronounced "Full-er" but he is really Kyle "For-Real". Those picks weren't just letting plays come to you and being in the right place at the right time... those were big time football plays both making spectacular plays on the ball and then being an offensive player and getting return yards. This kid...

Make sure his brother is raised right, and hopefully we can draft him as well.

As Smart said, Kendall is a great player as well and will likely be a Top 15 pick when he comes out following next season.

All 4 of the Fullers were great ambassadors and leaders for Virginia Tech. Seem like great people who always kept their noses clean. You guys are lucky to have Kyle. If he stays healthy he could be a long term starter and potential HOFer. He's that good, and that is just my biased opinion.

Now... We VT fans are just hoping they start producing some offspring. The recruiting classes of 2032-2038 could be something special...

Hrm. Just a suggestion, but maybe you should introduce them to some women instead. I respect the code of the hills and everything, but up here in the flatlands things work a bit differently.

Love the kid. He will be tested. Megatron, Nelson to name a few. This division will harden him or break him.

Fuller was named defensive player of the week. Contes supermam interception was awesome, but Fullers break and concentration was stellar.

I also really noticed him communicating with the rest of the secondary. Vereen deserves alot of credit for getting a 5 minute crash course on nickel corner, but Fuller was vocal with his team about receivers and coverages. I dont know if some quarterback will pick that up as the bears being in man or zone, but you gotta like a guy communicating to make the team better.

As he should have been, that chase down from behind on Gore I think, on that goal line play was pretty special.

One thing I've noticed about both Kyle and his younger brother Kendall is that they both have extremely short memories when they do let a WR get the best of them. All CBs are going to get beat every now and then....just the nature of the position.....but realizing that and not getting down on yourself when you do get burned is one of the best attributes a CB can have.

He'll have his ups and downs this early in his career (he did early in his VT career as well) but you can bet your bottom dollar that when it does happen he will jump his ass right back in there and treat the next play as if nothing ever happened. That mental confidence in both their ability and technique is what makes a Fuller a Fuller. They aren't the biggest, they aren't the fastest, but cot dammmit they play the position like they are both. :suds:
