I heard they did this so they have the ammunition to land one of the franchise QBs available in next years draft. In that circumstance it makes sense to me. He is also on both my fantasy teams so hopefully this helps him out!

So they are going to take yet another QB in the first round. Haven't they taken a QB in the 1st or 2nd every year for like a decade?

It kinda looks like a bad move for the Browns right now, but who knows it could work out good. If they are the worst team in the league, they get that #1 pick to go along with this other 1st round pick. They could potentially take Clowney AND one of the top QB's in this next draft class, and there will be plenty to choose from. I'm assuming they'll have a shot at Manziel, McCarron, Boyd, Carr....and there are more.

I heard someone else say this, but I'll repeat it, you can always find a serviceable back in the later rounds or in free agency.

Or they could say screw Clowney and grab the top QB and a top WR to go with him.

I could see it ending up well, but in my opinion I don't why you just don't keep your running back and then take a top QB in this next class....and try a good pro-style guy this time around, McCoy and whatshisface didn't do too well.

Well if the want to unload Joe Hayden for a 2nd Jerry should be answering the phone.....Chances are we draft a RB or TE instead of a real need. I love this move for the Colts. Mybe the Texans no longer have a free pass to the AFC South crown any more.

Wasn't Richardson like a top 5 pick? This trade makes no sense to me at all.
& while I am at it. Why cant we get trades like this? Anytime we are in trades we are the Browns it seems, not the Colts.

Yep the Colts basically got the 1st and 3rd picks of last yrs draft. I can t remember who went 1st Luck or RG3. It looks bad on the Browns side but they have like 2 number 1s , 2 number 2s, and 2 number 3s next yr I think

The Browns could actually come out with Clowney and Boyd or insert another high QB. If I was JJ I would be on the phone offering our 1st for Joe Haden or our 3rd along with Claiborne

they are giving up the #3 pick for a late round 1st. Unless Richardson becomes a bust. (& I don't mean HOFer) there is no way this is a good trade for the browns.

I actually still think the Browns have some talent. They get Gordon back this week at WR. Little hasnt done much yet but it is there. They have a nice young TE. I was really surprised they pulled the trigger, b ut they under new management.

I dont know man. They werent going to win anything this yr. Richardson is a great back no doubt, but of all positions that one seems to be plentiful and the easiest to replace. They now have a boatload of draft picks next yr and could possibly trade for the the Bridgewater or simply get Clowney and the 2nd QB, which looks like Taj Boyd right now.
