But the Lakers wouldn't of won even without Kobe. Suns have to much speed for the grandparents to keep up with.

When is the last time you signed a big FA name that was not being resigned? I will need some help on this as I do not know the history of this well.

They haven't been in position to be able to sign a big name FA since Shaq. They've been in salary cap hell for quite awhile now. Dwight is the only big name FA who has turned down the Lakers during Kobe's career. The argument that no big name FA wants to come to Los Angeles because of Kobe's presence has little or no evidence. It's hater rhetoric.

Bledsoe is like a fracken' cheetah out there. The Suns transition to their fast-break offense was very quick and impressive to watch last night.

It may be a slight leap of faith considering Shaq and Dwight the 2 highest profile players to wear a Laker uni besides Kobe in the last...since Magic have left, and it would seem Kobe had at least a little to do with both.

There's no doubt that Kobe had differences with both Shaq and Dwight. Shaq getting traded wasn't all on that fractured relationship though. Shaq was looking for an extension that would have put him making roughly $30 million a year. Dr. Buss wasn't willing to pay Shaq that money because a) Shaq was getting older and was often injured and b) Shaq totally disrespected Dr. Buss during a preseason game before the start of the 03/04 season. Kobe was a FA who wasn't going to stay if Shaq was around. Dr. Buss made the right choice.

Who are all these other big name FAs that turned down deals to play with the Lakers because of Kobe?

Well, it's been approx. 5 1/2 hours since you asked that question and.........crickets. BOT must have forgotten to pay his internet bill because we all know that he would neeeever post anything that he couldn't back up.

Either that, or the list is so long that it's taking him all this time to type it out.

haven't we already visited this before? Seems the haters have nothing else to turn to and don't know shit about what happened with Shaq/Buss....they look stupid every time they post same drivel -- oh well, stupid is as stupid does.

ha ha ha -- when they have that cap room next year and '15 they'll be lining up at El Segundo to sign their contract. These dumbshits don't know what a lure is to play for Lakers for reasons beyond bball....jealousy/envy all on display as usual

Pulled from NBA.com

Lakers guard Steve Blake had an MRI and was examined today by team doctor Steve Lombardo and Dr. Neal S. ElAttrache of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. Blake was diagnosed with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He is expected to be out a minimum of six weeks.
