Top five players Kobe says he has faced: Olajuwon, MJ, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Clyde Drexler. Adds that it’s hard to pick just five.
No Duncan?
No Duncan?
It was an off the cuff question during a greater interview
He had to think and sort of listed them as a stream of consciousness answer without too much thought
Well he never really matched up against Duncan that much directly.
It probably doesnt explain Hakeem.
But, in the interview he was sort of caught on the spot with brain freeze.
A lot of "ums" and "uh" type pauses while he was trying to recall the names.
He even added that there was a lot more than just 5 names.
Maybe the "ums" & "uhs" were because he's faced so many different players over 20 years.Well he never really matched up against Duncan that much directly.

I am STUNNED that Ruben "Kobe Stopper" Patterson didn't make the list
Lol that was was a classic moment when he said he was the "Kobe Stopper" I think Kobe tore his ass up the next game lol.
Off Topic, but Kobe is 32/61 (52.5%)in his last 4 games (if you include 7/14 tonight so far). That's a victory for him when he's been shooting 33.9% this year. Not a fan of his, just checking in to see how the year has been going since his retirement announcement.
