Barrett looks pretty good.

But, yeah... the Knicks suck.

Barret could win rookie of the year tho and Mitchell Robinson is a nice player. They need another top 3 pick.

They're probably getting one this year, or at least they will have a ton of ping pong balls

Exactly the same thing I have been saying for years. It is all still true.

They struck out in free agency and they don’t have a good roster. No coach is winning more than 25-30 games with this crew.

The problem is management. Stop blaming the chef when he is given shitty ingredients.

Just like with my Redskins. Firing the coach was meaningless. No, he wasn’t good. But he wasn’t the problem either.

Exactly.

It's just such a lazy take to go with "fire the coach" when a team has far more pressing issues (like putting together an NBA roster).

It doesn't matter how good the coach is if you have players who can't play. Are there better coaches than Fizdale? Yes.

But there are also worse coaches. All hiring a better coach would do is cost the Knicks some ping pong balls and they still aren't getting close to the playoffs.

Maybe Fizdale isn't the right coach. But you can't really decide that until you at least give him a solid roster to work with.

What are your thoughts now?

Were you really expecting them to be better than the Spurs, Celtics, or Nets? Those are all playoff teams from last season, and should be this year as well. They beat the Bulls, which they are pretty evenly matched with. It's not like the Knicks added any star power, just solid depth.

Sure, and all of those free agents are just product on the shelf with price tags, and no free will to determine where they go, right? Your franchise's best chance was with the Kyrie/Durant combo. The Nets got them instead (and also only 1 win thus far) and won't have Durant until next season.

The problem with the Knicks is at the top; clown-shoe ownership.

ANYONE WHO THINKS ROBINSON IS AN NBA PLAYER. HOLY shite!!! His BB IQ is 15!!! And the offense goes thru him? This is beyond laughable!

This team may not have a superstar! But they surely have some power players, role players who have had success in the NBA. This coach has no clue on how to use these guys!

Who would?

3 of your 4 best players are power forwards in an era where the PF position is dead. They have redundant skill sets and the skills they do have are not easy to fit into a modern offense with more than 1 on the court at a time.

The roster construction is a joke.

Yes I immediately didn't understand getting both portis and Randle

Maybe they're trying a bigger version of the 5 point guards offense it looked like the Suns were going for a couple of years ago? :noidea:

5 point guards work a lot better than 3 PFs
