Won't happen since none of us think the game is being "ruined". What are you even talking about?

Please post again how the college game is more popular, that's one of my favorites!

There are millions who can’t stand him

his own peers dislike him

Grow up man, my teammates didn’t like me cause I was a pisan from New York , you know how I got back at em . Stuck a beautiful chick in the dudes bed ! He walked in and he was like WTF and i was like like , f wit a pisan and find out

"my teammates didn't like me cause"...

you're a complete jackass?

Not sure why you brought up your phoney-baloney pro baseball lie but good for you.

"his own peers dislike him"

Okay once again it's time to back your lies/bullshit up. I know you can't. So post something legit stating what you've claimed. Exactly which current NBAers have gone on the record saying they hate, hate, hate LeBron like you?

I’m sure there are a few out there.

But that still wouldn’t back up the claim that LeBron is disliked by his peers. That comment implies more widespread dislike.

The other day pasta said one of his issues with LeBron is he's too muscular.

And just in case he tries to deny his dumbfuckery.

The 2024-25 NBA thread. page 148. comment # 2954.

Most observant fans, fans with a functional brain can see leflop is a beast of an athlete , that he uses his brutal strength to run through his opponent, where MJ used more athleticism to get around

Neither have/had a great shot

But MJ was more clutch

MJ the ultimate competitor who did not need the refs where leflop is always cryin for a call

Ever see MJ flop?

Ummm….

Strength is a very important part of athleticism.

And MJ flopped all the time. He was great at it.

You know how he would should that fade away jumper, land on his butt and hit his hands on the floor to make himself slide another 15 feet?

That is a flop.

No other way to describe it.

intangibles are even better

MJ’s insane athleticism , avoiding injury, not flopping

He flopped.

LeBron has also avoided injury.

And I disagree about the intangibles.

Want to talk about a player who had a lot of peers/teammates dislike them?

That would be MJ. Not LeBron.

Did you not read the post before that you replied to?

If you never saw MJ flop, you didn’t watch the second half of his career.

He did that move every game.

That is way overstated.

Officials back then tolerated non-basketball plays. That is the difference.

The game today is still incredibly physical. Just a lot more fair and safe.

But more to the main point, every player exaggerates contact to get foul calls. That is not new to the sport. It is a false narrative to claim previous generations didn’t flop.

Current generations are just better at it. And if we are being honest, it would be stupid not to. Flopping helps sell calls and that can be the difference between winning and losing.

If anyone thinks that the ultimate competitor, MJ, would be above flopping to give his team an advantage?

LOL at that.

“Incredibly “ physical, cmon man

Players today don’t play as physical cause they don’t want to lose their meal ticket

How you see it physical at all concerns me when the game is all about beyond the perimeter

yes, I could understand some animations to get a call, only for a superstar who may being harassed, but seriously, the defense is so suspect , its ridiculous

Offensive skill is so far beyond what it was in the 80s and 90s.

When you have to defend 30’ from the basket instead of 20’, it becomes a lot easier to find driving lanes and get to the basket.

It isn’t that defense is worse. It is that defenders have much harder job to do and they have to do it without grabbing and holding the offensive player.

But as for physicality, there is contact on almost every drive. Just not sure what you are watching if you don’t think NBA basketball is physical.

I don’t know what you’re watching …

most 3s I see are uncontested , and driving to hoop starts from ball in as the defense throughout league is a joke .

Yes , there is more contact today cause the players are bigger, stronger and faster, BUT NO F N WAY is it as mean as it was

Money , and who’s in charge has changed the game, not for the better

It was meaner because they tolerated non-basketball plays and they allowed hand checking.

Which, but the way was just incredibly stupid on both parts. Why should a defender be able to use their hands to stop a driving player? That isn’t basketball.

Meaner does not equal better.
