Make. It. Happen. The only one I can see who wouldn't want this is Melo, who loves Woodson because he lets Melo and JR shoot everything and play Iso all day every day.

New York could be a top 5 team in the East again, instantly. Shit, if they had him right now, they could in 3rd place.

That's too logical. This is the Knicks. They'll throw 8 mil a year to John Calipari

Would thibs leave chicago? I think his current roster with out Rose is in a better position than NYKs. He would be guaranteed that the ownership will spare no.expense...maybe if thibs picks his players they could be sick in a few years.

I think another big added bonus to hiring Thibs would be to help keep Carmelo in New York.

Thibs is actually in a no-win situation here. I think he's maxed out the results he'll get with his current group. Unfortunately, in today's NBA climate you have to spend money to get a title. This is not bashing Thibs as a coach, because he's actually a really good coach (top 5 IMO). But in Chicago, he's stuck with an owner that refuses to shell out the dough. But if he were to go to the Knicks then he'd be stuck with the Daniel Snyder of the NBA and would go after players and overpay for them.

I'm sure New York is very attractive to any coach but I can't think of anyone outside Pat Riley or Phil Jackson who'd make a damn bit of difference there. That organization is FUBAR and has been since Isiah Thomas ran roughshod over it.

Thibs has 2 yrs left on his current contract.
I'd rather Dolan hire either George Karl, Stan Van Gundy or Lionel Hollins when and if Woody is fired, or after this season.

Let the Wooden Knickles hire some nincompoop who will keep supplying New Dork City with humble pie!
