Falcons Fans Going Crazy Complaining That James White’s Knee Was Down Before Ball Crossed Goal Line - Daily Snark

We all knew something was going to come out of this game. Godell is rumored to be suspending Brady for 6 games minimum for having possible knowledge that Jame's White indeed did not cross the goal line.

Even if it was, they would've scored on the next play. That Falcons defense was DONE.

Besides, in each of those pictures, where is the nose of the ball? Obscured by the defenders' leg, which means the play stands as called.

They really should be complaining about how the defense allowed 32 unanswered points...

It was tough to view where the nose of the ball was when his knee touched.

However Ted Wells already filed his report that "it was more probable than not" that it crossed the plane first.

Don't think it matters to anyone except for hard-luck Falcon fans. They were going to score on the next play -- unless there was some fumble or something.

Sucks for the fans, because I do believe they're supposed to review those kind of calls... but nothing would have overturned it, IMO.

first it certainly looked like a TD and

2nd, how can they complain when it actually hard to see exactly where the ball is when the knee hit with the other players I the way?

I guess there are always some that just can't handle it and have to put the blame somewhere

They did review it. They review every scoring play.

The official standing on thye goal line immediately raised his arms. He saw the ball touch the imaginary white line above the goal line before White was down. They showed that play from every possible angle that FOX had cameras on and he in before the knee touched.

The Atlanta defense was running on fumes. On that entire series from the Pats 25 to the Falcons 1, the Falcons had not stopped a single play. The only one they stopped was on a PI call on #59 on Bennett in the end zone.

Yeah but confetti were already flying and paparazzi were already mobbing Brady before they finished. You think they could have restored order if the review had found him down at the one?

If there was enough evidence to overturn, they would have done it, sure. I'll admit they missed the call once someone shows some inconclusive evidence, since that is what would have been needed to overturn it.
