Like this guy.

Yea, and I agree that isnt quite the right mind set. Personally i hope Cousins does well AND griffin comes back healthy. Best case we trade one of them next off season for a decent pick or picks. Worst case, we go into the off season with a QB competition. At which point the best man wins the job. But I think a sit and watch when he actually gives a fark might be the best thing for RG3 right now. Even if Cousins bombs, RG3 learns what NOT to do as a pocket passer at the NFL level.

I think Cousins give the Skins a better chance to win, said it some time ago. The scrambling qbs are having a tough time of it, there always seems to be some big boy ready to lay them out.

I think Cousins might slide very nicely right into the role.

Now, my point is this. Should you blame RGIII for being the starting QB, or the coach for starting him?

It seems silly to me to be relieved that Cousins can now play, because if it took an injury to get things right, then obviously there is a coach who is not making the right decisions.......and how many more times is he going to do this? Are the fans always gonna kinda have to hope for unfortunate events like this to get things right?

For the record, I also think Niles Paul has the most potential at TE.

You can't blame the coach for starting RG3 when it is part of him being hired. He obviously said he can make RG3 a better QB...barring injury. KC is a better pocket passer than RG3, like I have said all along. RG3, the running QB is a better player than KC.

I will take a running RG3 over KC.

I will take a pocket passing KC over a pocket passing RG3.

If Cousins turns out to be the man that's gonna lead the Skins to where I hope they end up at least once more in my lifetime. I'd love it and by a Cap'n Kirk fan. I'd still hope Griff recovers fully and goes on somewhere else to have an injury free and decent to good career.

I may not care about some players, may even laugh at them or have no sympathy for them if they go broke. Due to mismanagement and/or ass backwards spending. Some players I might not even feel bad for if they get seriously hurt. I've never wished injury on a player in any sport or was happy to see any player get seriously hurt though.

If RG3 is not here, I hope he fails. I say that about every player in the NFL...except Peyton Manning.

Outside of people such as Mike Vick, I don't hope for any long term ailments. Even with people such as Mike Vick, I hope they turn their entire lives around but I do not wish them success.

"Understanding" Interesting choice of words. But then again he is on the same side of this as you are. You both were fine if the QB you don't like is screaming on the sidelines in pain, good times is what that is, as long as your chosen one comes in.

Just imagine if I had taken that position with Cousins. I'm sure you would have been perfectly understanding.

I would be fine if you take that stance with KC. You seem to think I am a huge KC fan but I am not. I was a huge fan of RG3 in his rookie season but since, I have not liked him because of what I see as his antics...especially that I believe he does not want to be a running QB.

I want the QB that gives us the best chance to win.

I think Cousins is a better fit for the Washington offense.

Considering its the Skins and Snyder. As much of an ass0 that WP writer Mike Wise can be. He may be on point that heads higher up than Gruden's were calling the shots far as who starts at QB.

A Cornhusker propin a Cornhusker eh. You'd athunk it. Seriously though, Paul looked real good Sunday. I'd be giddy if he could keep it up. Considering his production this year in the first two games. I wouldn't be shocked if opposing Defensive Coordinators start devoting more time to Paul during film study and scheming their defenses accordingly.

I liked Paul at TE as soon as I heard he switched over.

He was a fast big bodied WR for us at Nebraska and returned kickoffs. He's kind of a freak with that size and speed and athleticism.

After what he did Sunday, you wont find many who disagree with that. I have been one of Rg3's biggest detractors after the debacle of last year. But I really think this injury could actually force him to develop the Skills of a pocket passer that he is missing right now. He needs a faster release and faster decision making. Having to sit and watch for the next few weeks SHOULD allow him to work on what he is seeing without having to worry about the pass rush. As gifted as he is, starting him as a rookie and running the offense we ran in 2012 might have stunted his growth as a complete QB.

I agree with your post here.

What if the Redskins are 5 and 2 when RG3 returns? Will he get his job back?

If we are 5-2, unless that 5-2 is because of the defense and the defense alone, RG3 wont see the field.

Agreed. But it will be a tough call for the coach. I thought Snyder and RG3 were buds

If we are 5-2 and Snyder pulls that Shit, I will personally fly up to the next game and LEAD the boycott. Snyder needs to stay in the owners box and off the practice or the game field.

If cousins is leading the skins to wins, Snyder will not interfere. More than almost anything, Snyder wants a good team (and he wants to make money). He'd dump RG3 in a heart beat if Cousins turns out to be the better QB. Just ask Lavar or Clinton Portis.

Shark you said it before the only way Cousins was going to see the field is if RG3 go hurt. I agreed with you when you said that a long time ago. People on here don't understand that RG3 got special treatment b/c of the picks we gave up for him. Cousins proved in pre-season that he can run Grudens offense better than RG3. Gruden actually brought back the read option in the beginning of the JAx game. Why? B/c he knows Rg3 can't succeed as a pocket passer. He exposed RG3 to get hurt by running. How come no one is talking about that? That is how desperate Gruden was to make sure RG3 succeeded. He abandoned his own offense.

The bottom line here is that Cousins was never going to get a fair shot unless Rg3 got hurt. The two coaches didn't have the power to bench Rg3 b/c Synder wanted Rg3 to succeed so bad b/c of the draft picks we gave up. I still believe to this day that Synder forced Shanny to start Rg3 last season even though Shanny knew he was still hurt. Synder still has his hands on the strings. Obviously I cant prove that last year but its my opinion.
