well, i appreciated how Tony dismissed the guy who was trying to promote himself... he needs to do that more...

This episode felt weird since it was very low on regulars... and did not have Montgomery...

but at least the closer was funny... her slave joke was up there as one of the better jokes i have heard in a while...

Nice to see her have another set. She was a great up-n-comer when she was first getting pulled. I am not certain she was a legit pull last night, though. With only Kam on as a regular, they needed some kind of familiar dessert for the show, and she fit that requirement perfectly.

I was expecting that black chick to get a GT, though. She was legit good, and is not a local comic. But the fact that she is 11 years in is a good argument against her getting the GT.

yea.. she was good too... my problem with her was that she laughed at her jokes too much... and her laugh was a gasp... kind of took me away from her a little... But still GT worthy...

but you are probably right, her veteran status was probably what took her away from being a GT... she did, deservingly so, got invited to the secret show...

But that honor gets hurt when he also invites random comediens who did not have good acts...

The raven-head guy should have gotten a Secret Show invite. He clearly isn’t ready for it, but as Tony said, he has “something”. For his first set ever, he was great. And getting invited to a show like the Secret Show would be a good reward for a guy who should certainly consider doing more open mics.

Tony definitely sees talent better than i do, and comedy is very subjective... but i did not see that something...

His stage presence. His story telling. His STORIES.

He isn’t there YET. Asking him to do 5 minutes right now is most likely a recipe for disaster. But I think there was enough there for him to consider making comedy a SERIOUS hobby for the next few years to see if anything IS there.

That chick was insufferable. She strives to someday be as funny as Amy Shumer

Has anyone seen any kind of schedule for when the NYE shows will air? Tonight's episode was marked as being recorded last Monday (1/20), but the dialogue in the episode indicated it was recorded the previous Monday (1/13). Either way, they are already showing shows recorded well after NYE.

Amy Schumer was very funny before she got comercialized. She was thought to be dating Anthony Jeselneck. She was great during the roasts. And was getting an underground following.

Even the first season of her sketch show was pretty good. Even Trainwreck was a decent movie.

I actually chose to pay to see her back around 2010.

Then when she started become popular( probably around the time she was linked to Barbie. She became very annoying.

They need William back. It's not the same without him. I grew up watching Carson, Letterman and all those guys. Him coming out with a couple index cards reading some current events jokes, with an Aphex Twin or Redban's mom joke mixed in makes it feel like a real show.

Fluffy tonight! This should be fun. One of only 2 big comedy shows I ever went to (he and Ron White). And he is legit hilarious and typically good natured.

lol. I am not a fluffy fan. At all. I recognize that he is one of the biggest names in comedy(pun not intended). But he annoys me.

I have plans tonight, so I won’t be able to watch until either LATE tonight or tomorrow. I don’t expect him to be a wall flower. I fully expect him to get right in and converse with the pulls.

oh,.. in that way I agree.. he will definitely be active... he is also very political, so him and Tony will be on the same page as well...

Fluffy is part of the right-wing comedy culture, sure, but he doesnt flaunt it nearly as much as Tony.

And I don’t know if Fluffy is right wing, per se, as much as he is anti-woke.

not to get political... but if you are anti-woke you are probably right wing... because the left don't use the term woke...

Yael and Robert were both GT-worthy.

WTF is WM?

You say that every week. You're way too liberal with the Golden Tickets. Those are more for people they meet on the road shows. I'm worried about William though. Last time I saw him he was horribly on edge, trying to sell Zantac and babbling about his diverticulitis.
