one Russian player will be designated to not count under the cap.
(I didn't know KHL had a cap)
meant to entice the boys back home from the NHL

so now teams can back the truck up for a Radulov / Semin type player.
will be interesting to see who (other than those two) takes advantage.

1 more caveat on the KHL news. The player would have to be approved by national team coaches as "worthy" to be excluded from salary cap.



also:
Sources in Russia say that CSKA* is very likely to make a big play for Grigorenko. If true, this should plunge his draft stock..
(apparently Fedorov is set to become CSKA GM very shortly)

This just seems wrong to me...the NHL can't be pleased with it, that's for sure. I understand pride of country and whatnot, but this just seems to be circumventing the agreement, right?
