Now here is a player that has passion and cares about people unlike the others who are making their millions and doing nothing - Props To Kevin Durant:suds:

Basketball aside, Durant seems like a genuinely good person. Most of the people I have met out there seem like good people.

Even a 100K is a lot of money for these players, They like to hold on to every dollar and for good reason - it would be very easy to go broke over night - so I am impressed

know what'd REALLY be cool, though? seeing sleazy Stern step up and have the NBA match KD dollar for dollar. i think that'd help the league image overall...

it is great for KD.

But he makes such ungodly money from his endorsements that it would be wrong to try and judge other athletes by the size of their help from only base salaries.

Anything (whether it is $5) is a good thing.

Absolutely every bit helps, and I wouldn't judge anyone for helping regardless of the amount. Even with his salary and endorsements, though, a mil is a nice chunk of change. Especially when his earning potential (not counting investments and other business ventures) will only be significant for 15- maybe 20 years and he will live off of it for much longer. If you don't manage it intelligently (which I'm sure he will), you'll be screwed fast.

Who cares how much money he makes or how much he could afford. This is a young man who stepped up for his community when they needed him the most. Not only is he giving an unbelievable amount of money, but he is actually down there in the wreckage helping to clean up. He's a very high level young man, and is a role model for a lot of other kids out there.

Isn't this the same dude that played a pick up flag football game because he was asked?

I can't say anything bad about him.

It's really refreshing to hear good things about a young man stepping up to the plate for a change. :agree:

I just got some good news from my business partners. Our provider law firm in OK is going to stay open late and over the weekends to assist clients with legal issues like insurance claims, contract review, and scams.

That is great news. We just returned from a trip to Moore with a U-Haul full of bottled water, blankets, diapers and canned goods. We raised over $7500 in 28 hours at work plus all the sundries.

Kevin Durant is a classy dude.
