I believe I saw someone speaking on Kerrigan seemingly not playing so well this year....

Ryan Kerrigan to have arthroscopic knee surgery
next week to repair a tear in the lateral meniscus in his left knee, according to The Washington Times. Kerrigan appeared in all 16 games, recording a career-high 66 tackles and 8 1/2 sacks, despite suffering the injury in Week 3.

Yep no one made a big deal out of it but remember his great start then they said he might miss a game which he never did, anyhow he played hurt all year. It is only three years but he has been London Fletcher like when it comes to playing every game. I would have loved to see him stay healthy because he really started out fast.

If he was injured all year, then when the skins were out of it, he should have opted for surgery.

Stupid.

Meniscus repair is not a huge deal. He will probably be fully recovered in a month or so..with zero rehab. He probably had to deal with a little pain more than anything.

Yep you play until you can't play anymore. If everyone in football stopped because they had a "minor" injury they would need 120 man rosters.

Kerrigan was injured all year and he had more TFL, tackles, and FF than Rak. All around he had a better year than rak and he was injured. So what does that tell you??

It tells me that Rak was not 100% recovered from his injury until the second half of the year.

Next question.

tells me that Rak will get overpaid this year while Kerrigan is the better player. If we sign back rak at (8-10mil a season) Kerrigan is going to want the same thing or even better. Can we afford to have two 8-10 million olb's??? If we lose Kerrigan next year b/c of Raks contract I am going to be pissed.

Yup, we can afford it. Have you seen our cap space going forward?

dean for the love of god look at rak's and kerrigan's career numbers they are similar

look at the pass rush with rak as opposed to without him

if you want to dump rak then find an equal or better player for a lesser price . i doubt you can

we also have cap space for the next 2 seasons so i dont see the big deal

I just don't think he is worth that kind of money. I hope someone outbids us. Maybe he takes a hometown discount for 6 mil per season .

There's a good chance we move to the 4-3 OR get some improvement out of our 3-4 via FA & the draft.
Pay Orakpo whatever, no need to see him become a 15 sack guy in the NFL somewhere else.
It really could happen
