Agreed, but I also think we should start with an equal amount of conference games played.

Agree.

So when is the Big XII, Big 10, and Pac 12 going to drop a conference game to play the perfectly symmetrical eight conference games (four home, four away)?

That's an interesting point to take. These teams boasting of a 9-game conf schedule, are at a disadvantage
every other year, because every other year they play one extra league game on the road.

Compare that to Florida or Georgia. They play every year in Jax as a League game. That means the home
team that year (which will be Florida in 2019) only gets 3 league games in Gainesville. In 2019 that will be
Tennessee, Vandy and Auburn. Tenn and Vandy they would win if the played in the Bahamas, so no advantage
there. For Georgia they'll get 4 in Athens in 2019 plus 42K seats in Jax. Big advantage for UGA in 2019.

I think that’s way more likely than the ACC and SEC sacking up and playing another conference opponent instead of a G5.

I’d argue the disadvantage is every year. Regardless of if it’s home or away many P5 teams are better than the G5’s being scheduled/played. An almost all of those G5’s being played are at home.

What Georgia/Florida misses in a conference home game they make up for having 3 plus out of conference home games. It’s not like they aren’t ever playing at home.

When the ACC tried to institute the 9th conference game a few years ago Clemson only dropped one G5 game to keep the Georgia series. We dropped the Oklahoma State and Ole Miss series because with a 9 game conference slate and the annual home and home with South Carolina we could not accommodate a second P5 h&h and maintain the seven game home slate we need and the town of Clemson depends on. Adding another ACC game to the schedule would result in us playing the exact same number of P5 games we play right now. It wouldn't cost us G5 home games, it would cost us home and homes with Auburn/Texas A&M/Georgia/LSU/etc.

Are you really under some sort of delusion that most ACC teams play 2 P5 teams OOC yearly? Because I can assure you MOST ACC teams are playing one P5 (instate rival), 2 G5’s and a 1-AA. I can almost garuntee in that setup the P5 OOC game will not be going away if an extra conference game is added.

BC is playing three In ND, Rutgers and Kansas, meaning BC is playing 11 P5 games this year. Is WVU or any Big XII playing 11 P5 games this year?

Clemson plays Texas A&M and @ South Carolina

Duke plays Alabama and Notre Dame

Louisville plays Notre Dame and @ Kentucky

North Carolina plays South Carolina and @ Wake in an OOC game

At least every ACC school plays a P5 OOC. Perhaps we should talk shit about the Big XII since Baylor's OOC consists of Stephen F Austin, UTSA, and Rice.

Yes, WVU plays 11 P5’s next year. Look it up.

An you named just 5 of 14 ACC teams that have scheduled more than one OOC P5. Perhaps you could name more?

Last year the ACC had 9 teams that played 1 OOC P5. Considering you have 5 teams garunteed a OOC game vs ND that is beyond pathetic.

You can talk shit on Baylor all you want, but they will play the same amount of P5’s as most ACC teams. Sure the B12 usually only plays one OOC P5, but they still have 9 conference games.

Any other stupid analysis you wish to make?

My point is this: don't bash the conference bash the individual teams. Besides, it's the Big XII so it's glorified 7 on 7 anyway since nobody plays defense.

When majority of the teams are following that trend the conference deserves to be blamed. But thanks for admitting you were dead wrong about the number of P5 teams being played should an 9th conference game happen.

Your conference was shit last year. The B12 is miles better than the ACC. It’s honestly probably tougher playing the G5 then most the teams in your shit conference.

Well I guess when you are a fan of a program like WVU you have to pull for the conference since you can't win a championship on your own. The problem with that it seems your conference can't win one either.

But continue to pat yourself on the back for playing with yourself.

Johnnny come lately Clemson fan is trying to talk shit. Honest question who did you bandwagon before you liked Clemson?

But thanks again for admitting you were full of shit before. An that extra non con win bumps the inflated record your shit conference already has. I don’t need to be a conference wank to say that.

They got 8 of them. Seems high, but does anyone have 9?

Texas always has a bunch of home games.

Texas plays 10 games in the state of Texas. Travels to Iowa State and West Virginia

TCU plays 7 games in texas, travel to Purdue, Iowa State, Kansas State, Ok State, and Oklahoma

baylor plays 9 games in Texas, travels to Kansas, K State, Ok State.

Texas tech plays THREE Spring games!!
Plays 8 games in Texas, travels to Arizona, Oklahoma, Kansas, West Virginia,

Texas A&M plays 8 games in Texas, travels to Clemson, Mississippi, Georgia, and LSU

Yeah, that’s what a bandwagon would say. Just to make themselves feel better about their sad sack pathetic life.

But again thanks for being wrong.

Whatever it takes to make you feel better about your never been program. The ACC didn't want you (never has FWIW, that's why you were left behind in the SoCon), the SEC didn't want you, and the Big XII only took you because they were desperate.

Whatever you have to tell yourself about your Johnny come lately program you bandwagon. Once teams roll out of that shit conference you’re so proud of you’ll be begging us to come. It’s funny really, if it wasn’t for Tobacco Road, we’d been in the ACC. Same could be said about the B12 taking us. Because we’d definitely be in the ACC then. You took Louisville for Christ sake.

But thanks again for continuing to be wrong. You seem to excel at it.

LOL @ Johnny-come-lately from the fan of a program that we left behind with Furman, Davidson, and William & Mary. We went to our first of 44 bowls back in 1940, won our first of now three national titles in 1981.

And you owe your not being in the ACC to Clemson and Maryland. Like the small-minded school WVU is you voted with your tiny school peers to suspend Clemson and Maryland from the SoCon for the 1953 season because we dared to play in bowls. The big boy schools decided we were tired of having to bend to the demands of small-minded schools and decided to forge our own path leaving behind the worthless. Clemson and Maryland both demanded that any school who voted to suspend us be blackballed from ACC membership so you got left behind. There's a reason why Clemson has never scheduled an OOC series with you.

Give me a fucking break you bandwagon Johnny come lately. Your acting like leaving us with those teams in the 40’s was some huge thing now. Save that shit for when you see your grandpa again considering it was 60 plus years ago.

You think two schools who got pissed 60 years ago out of 12 were the reason the ACC said no to WVU? You are even more stupid than you appear. Academics had been cited as the reason as Tobacco Road had no respect for WVU academia.

Yeah we haven’t played Clemson in the regular season, an we’ve only played Maryland about 40 times since that ban big bad WVU put on Clemson and Maryland. I think we’re fine. Your conference is still shit.
