Thoughts on the player's futures? Monk, Fox, Adebayo, Briscoe
i definitely dont watch as much uk bball as you but i like monks upside.....i wouldnt hesitate to draft himI agree. I think all 4 are gone if not more. I guess my question should have been how well do u think the fare at the next level?
Compare them to other UK players if you like.
For example - if the choice was Jamal Murray, Booker, or Monk - who will be the best Pro. Honestly I would rank Monk as Caliparis 3rd best shooting guard at best. Fox is pretty dang close to John Wall at this age, maybe even a better shooter. Bam- not even in Cals top 5 bigs since Cal has been at UK. Briscoe- just a good hard nosed college player.

Gone, gone, gone, and gone...
I believe its safe to say that Monk and Fox are lottery picks. Briscoe just wants to be a pro and I don't see him sticking around, although he won't be drafted (in my opinion). Bam is the most interesting of the 4 because he has the talent to hit the 18ft jumper, he can guard multiple positions with more work on that end and is obviously a freakish athlete.
That all said, he's projecting as a high 2nd round pick or last pick in the 1st round... He "could use" another year of college but I don't see him staying around.
Now the real questions turns to who else is leaving due to transfer?

None of them strike me as NBA All-stars, but I think Fox has the best chance to be that. Monk is a very impressive scorer, but the NBA is filled with guys who can light it up. Monta Ellis, etc.

Fox and Monk will be stars, Bam a bust, Briscoe will be in Europe. All gone, great class coming in, it's what it is
Bam, Monk and Fox are all gone, as they should be. Monk and Fox are top 10 picks and Bam will be a 1st rounder. Briscoe has very little pro potential, so I don't know what he does. I don't think he's all that good tbh. If Briscoe does leave the top 7 scorers will be gone. Plus while UK has the #1 class coming in, I don't think they have a difference maker like AD, MKG, KAT, JW, DC. I think they'll end up being something like a 5/6 seed or so next season.
No matter what happens with the draft, I thought this years UK team played well.

Monk is so athletic. He still is tremendously raw. He has a great 18ft jumpshot. His 3 point percentage is pretty deceiving. He is so streaky. It's hard to imagine him not being a really good player in the NBA because he definitely has ability. He has a lot of work to do though. Fox- to me is a can't miss. I think he will be a star. He has all the shots- jumper , floaters, layups. He improved on his 3s. The only thing I see that I question is his ball handling and that may be because he is just so fast. It's almost like the ball doesn't go with him sometimes
