There will be at least 3 RBs drafted before Ameer and there certainly won't be 4 RBs picked in the first round!!!

Ameer was better than every back who came out this year, but the first RB taken came pretty late and then that just opened the floodgates.

Ameer has to have a seriously special year to go 1st round. He's just too small. His change of direction is on Gio Bernards level. Was not a fan of that guy just because I thought Rex was the better back all the way around, but Ameer has day 1 starting potential in the NFL just like Gio.

Ameer is better than Sankey and he went 54th. Do not argue with me on this.

I think they said it was the latest that a RB has been taken in decades. There is less value placed on running back in the NFL than ever before, but you knew that.

cbssports has Ameer being the 2nd RB taken......so people have differing opinions.

The important thing to remember is we are looking at a whole year that has to be played out still. Some players are going to get better, some will get worse, some will spin out and stay right where they were.

I am just predicting Ameer has a great year because his work ethic is second to none, and his strength is incredible.

Anyone can make the cuts he makes and have the field vision and balance he does though. They just have to put the time in. He's not special, he's just a product of working hard. We're all created equal and he's a boss for one reason: Work.

See how ridiculous that sounds? The kid has a god given gift, and he's CHOSEN to maximize the potential of said gift. Michael Jordan didn't come out of the womb a fuckin' legend. For every Michael Jordan, there are millions of kids who work just as hard who will never be half the player he was.

Quit it with the nonsense JJM you're crazy

You have your opinion I have mine.

Shit, my parents and siblings couldn't throw a ball and hit water if they were standing in a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Somehow I am an extremely "gifted" athlete though. Makes no sense.

The only sense I can make out of it is the fact that they never focused any of their time on sports growing up......and I focused 100% of my time on it.

Bernard proved why he was the starter and he will continue to start over Rex forever. Rex is not a starting NFL RB.

This last years RB draft class was awful!! That is why a RB waited longer than ever. Sankey is by far the best RB in the class and will start for the Titans.

I would say Sankey and Ameer are very similar. I think Sankey catches the ball better though. That is why the Titans took him.

Who did they have as #1?

Ameer is not better than Gurley, Gordon, Davis, or Yeldon

On the hoof, no.

Yeldon's running behind greek gods and Gordon is running.. Well he's running behind a fucking Bielema built offensive line.

Davis is a boss, but Gurley is by far the best player in the country. Guaranteed to be in New York IMO. No quarterback, so it's gonna be the Gurley show all season. We saw him at like 50 percent in the bowl game.

Georgia players and coaches openly said Ameer is just as good or better than any back in the country. They do not like Nebraska. They don't blow smoke up people's asses. They genuinely respected him and it showed with the looks they gave early and throughout the game.

If I had to rank the backs you mentioned

1. Gurley
2. Abdullah
3. Davis
4. Yeldon
5. Gordon

Dammit.....I've been trying to find a link to that on my phone but can't. I heard it on 1110. They said Gurley was #1 in their rankings.

Admittedly, they did say their projections were off from most of the experts out there.

If they drafted guys by character Ameer would go 1st pick. That's just a bonus that he brings to the table.

yeldon is slightly overrated I like Gordon over him but Gordon hasn't shown he can run through tackles like yeldon did show.
