Kemba Walker named NBA player of the week.

Kemba Walker and Kevin Love have been named the NBA Players of the Week.

Walker led the Bobcats to a 4-0 week behind averages of 22.5 points (tied for seventh in the conference), 8.8 assists (second in the conference) and 5.5 rebounds.

Love helped the Timberwolves to a 2-1 behind a league-best 36.7 ppg and 12.7 rpg (fourth in the league)

MJ's gotta love that. I think Walker will continue to improve and eventually be a fringe "star" player in the league. Needs to get his shooting % up though (currently .414)

Bobcats currently sitting at the 6th seed and 3 games under .500

Kind of on topic...

I know the East sucks but it will be nice to hopefully see some new match ups if the NYK, BOS, MIL all miss the playoffs...and hopefully DET gets in over ATL. I would like to see that young front court battle when it matters if only for 4 games.

I look forward to teams like Charlotte and Washington making the playoffs only because of how shitty the East is and then grossly overpaying their own players to keep the team in tact because they don't realize they still suck and are thus locked into the same sub .500 teams for the next 5 years.

Kemba Walker is an excellent player. If the Hawks had him, we'd be the #3 or #4 seed right now, even with Horford out.
