So it looks like we won't be finding out whether he is a capable potential starter next year after all. Asking Fletcher to be an ironman again at his age is also flirting with trouble. Not liking this ILB situation.

Carriker is also likely not going to be around for the season. Two key depth guys gone on defense. First day of camp.

Nobody said the sky is falling. However, Robinson was our primary depth behind Fletcher and Riley. Had the best skill set and potential out of anyone on the bench. It's not good to lose him.

Like I said, he didnt impress me last year. And if he cant stay healthy, i would rather it happen now and we see what we have. I actually think Compton has the Skill set and could be good depth for us.

I agree. A non-starter that didn't do a tremendous amount last year isn't a huge deal.

I often wonder about these guys that are injured in the first couple days of training camp - it might just be bad luck, but I wonder about how seriously many of them worked out in the offseason when you are getting hurt a day or two into practices (especially when they only do walk throughs half the day).

its not that its a huge blow to our defense, its more of us wanting to see if he could have replaced fletcher.
