Just a quick shout out for Kayvon Webster. One of the things that makes this group of Broncos stand out as a team is the great special team play by Webster and Latimer. Instead of crying about snaps on offense or defense - these two guys made difference making plays on special teams last year (helping the defense and rescuing the offense from time to time).

Kayvon got starter snaps in OTAs while Talib dressed his gangster war wounds. From what I could see in photos - and from what can be dug out of coach's speak - Webster seems ready to be a starter on this Bronco team or on another one in the league. This makes the Bronco's actually 4 deep in the starting CB part of the roster. Talk about team luxuries. Too bad - no reporter asked any direct questions about Kayvon in the press conferences. Kayvon adds great value to this Bronco team. I wish him well.

Ideally I would love to see him stick around here as the 3rd CB behind Harris and Roby in the near future, but for his sake I'd also like to see him land a starting job. But a 3rd CB is pretty much like a starting job.

I know Kayvon was a bit hurt when Roby got the 3rd CB spot as a rookie over him after the two were in comeptition and Kayvon had played well. He felt a bit down like why does this rookie get ahead of me when I have done as well as he has... Now it is all moot because Roby is playing well so hard to argue. He found other ways to contribute and was an unsung hero last year on special teams. One of those guys you need on your roster to make the difference between winning and losing.

Agreed DC - another acquaintance of yours I'm partial too -based on his effort as a teammate.

He's been sending me a lot of snapchats this offseason busting his ass off. Some of the stuff he does in his workouts I didn't think the human body was capable of.

This is why even if Talib's recovery takes longer than expected or if the team wants to ease him back in I still think the Broncos at the CB spot are one of the strongest units in the NFL. Elway really has worked hard to build up this CB depth chart. Heck I am hearing some great things about Lorenzo Doss in the slot that he has been making a lot of plays. If Doss really is emerging I do think Webster would walk after this season as the team would still have Roby and Harris on the outside and be able to play Doss in the Nickel and still have a strong unit. Have to see though as OTA's plenty of players look good but when the pads on begin to fade.
