San Antonio can't give him away. If they can't find a good deal, then screw him, have him sit for a year if he wants to do that, and see who gives him a max contract after two lost seasons.

Last I heard, the C's haven't even been given opportunity yet to evaluate Kawhi's medical situation... they haven't been made privy to doctors reports so they could independently look over what his deal is.

ESPN’s Spurs reporter, Michael Wright, recently went on Tom Haberstroh’s podcast and dropped an amazing little detail about Leonard actually hiding from Spurs personnel when they came to visit him in New York last season:

thats why this just never passed the smell test for me.

The Spurs are the epitome of a classy organization. They do everything right. They have a great owner who does not meddle. They have a great GM. They have a legendary coach.

No one has EVER said bad things about the organization other than KAwhi LEonard. He just happens to have a batshit crazy uncle.

Kawhi is a really really gifted player which, as a fan, is the bottom line for me- buat after hearing this and some other things about him lately, he would be getting pretty hard to root for.



I gave Pop and the SPurs the benefit of the doubt on this whole situation becuase of their track record- and it looks like that was the absolute right thing to do.

I agree to a point. I think what the Spurs are apparently currently demanding is too much. If they come down closer to what the Lakers are offering, then they should do it.

Actually came in here to post the clips you guys posted cause I didn't think anyone would have seen it yet, since Mike Wright is an SA reporter.

By the way, Mike has a very good track record and shouldn't be overlooked. I know neither of you are overlooking what he said, it's just people don't tend to believe journalists they've not heard of.

Assuming all of this is true, and why wouldn't it be, because Mike's timelines and everything match up, I officially hate Kawhi Leonard.

Also, I have a feeling that all of this is coming out now because he could be on the move sooner than later. Don't think these guys would risk their reputation reporting such things as this without knowing the guy is gone.

He actually is very supportive of Kawhi AND the few often repeated comments are said with a laugh followed up with even more strong support. It is a very misleading obviously cherry picked comment trying to make this a twitter bait.
