You completely missed his point.

The difference between Flarhety, Joseph and then Pearce/De Aza(which ever one) and Weiters/Machado and Davis is insane. Especially the first 2 comparisons.

Hell even Cain and Moose shit on Joseph and Flarhety.

When you run into a team with shut down relievers from the right side you can't have a right handed dominate lineup with a bunch of crap players.

Those guys wouldn't even sniff the twins 40 man roster.

No I didn't....miggy... Vmart...jd...and we're superstar bats...and nothing....pujols...trout...Hamilton...superstar bats....royals...not 1 superstar bat...those 3 wouldn't be better than what the royal already have seen. It wouldn't have mattered, my point.

The Royals have superstar defenders that can hit their weight mostly- Cain and Gordon lead the charge there.

What?

Did you really call Hamilton a superstar?

Miggy Vmart and JD all hit really well actually they just couldn't pitch.

You completely missed the point regarding what hurt the Os..and it was they simply didn't have any sort of answer to the shut down Royals pen because they lacked the consistent middle of the order threats.

Royals found ways to always get it done like October requires but trying to imply the Os weren't hurt by those 3 with their minor league replacements is asinine.

It wasn't my point I just had to come in and explain the simple logic.

And Machado/Davis are far superior impact bats to Hamilton and assets on D too..at least Machado.

KC is the MLB feel good story this year.

Tip of the hat to their organization. Good luck in the WS.

The David-Goliath narrative was not there at all.
Agreed. Baltimore isnt exactly the Yankees and the Royals were a trendy Wild Card pick at the beginning of the season.

If the Giants finish off the Cardinals with Bum then a Goliath vs Goliath narrative should form considering 2 Wild Card teams came in and 1 went undefeated and the other only lost 2 games. Im sure the media will try to paint it as David vs Goliath, though.

If the Cards somehow get to the World Series, we'll be massive underdogs, we'll have the 85 footage, and we'll have the David vs Goliath. And the Ferguson coverage. It'd be the weirdest WS in recent memory. So its probably not going to happen :L

If the NLCS happens to go the distance I'm curious to see how KC holds up in the WS. I feel like typically teams that have long waits between series tend to lose their momentum and get rusty.

Biggest 'wildcard' in the World Series is going to be the long ball. Giants are on a massive HR dearth and KC is hitting the snot out of the ball. But the Cardinals specialize in keeping the ball in the park and the Giants stadium keeps balls in the park so that might explain the Giants.

If the Giants find the HR ball against the Royals then look out.

I dont think the Cardinals can beat the Royals without Molina 100% healthy so Im not thinking about that right now.

Whoever comes out of the NLCS will have their hands full.

The Cards are potentially without Molina and the Giants have a serious hole in their game against a fast team (the Royals had 7 SBs in a game against the Giants earlier this year).

The key for either team will be to keep the Royals off the base paths. A walk could quickly become a double or triple, and double plays will be nearly non-existent.
