Baltimore just cannot overcome the loss of its 3 best players


It was a great storyline watching career scrubs like Pearce, Flaherty, and Hundley helping them overcome impossible odds to win the east.


But, those guys are showing why they are not Machado, Davis, and Wieters finally.


Pearce is especially bad right now....and he is making things worse by letting it bother him.


Those losses are not as evident in regular season baseball, but you need your superstar bats in the playoffs to score runs.

Superstar bats? Like moose at .214 for the season...or Cain with 5 hr....or homer with 9 hr and .276....don't think so.....you need a team to play together...not individual stats....ask miggy Cabrera.

Been rooting for the Royals to do well after going to a Tigers/Royals game at Kauffman this year. Their fans aren't assholes like I have encountered in Cleveland and South Chicago, rep the Central KC! Finish them!

You completely missed his point.

The difference between Flarhety, Joseph and then Pearce/De Aza(which ever one) and Weiters/Machado and Davis is insane. Especially the first 2 comparisons.

Hell even Cain and Moose shit on Joseph and Flarhety.

When you run into a team with shut down relievers from the right side you can't have a right handed dominate lineup with a bunch of crap players.

Those guys wouldn't even sniff the twins 40 man roster.

He is a career nobody that helped them exceed expectations, but he is clearly overmatched in the post-season versus any right handed pitcher.

Kind of tough series to watch


The David-Goliath narrative was not there at all.


It reminds of a final four when two Cinderella low seeds teams both make it and play each other


It ruins the Cinderella story if both teams are colossal underdog surprises.
You need the heavy big favorite bad guy.


Both teams were 33/1 longshots to get the World Series


KC was picked 3rd in their division
Baltimore was picked 5th in their division
