The potential bullpen battles are going to be fun.

I think this series comes down to Adam Jones. If he hits O's win this series. If he continues his post season awfulness then I think the Royals could snag this series.

Yep. Point being though that if you are down late, neither team will likely do much. Well... Until a run stumbles across...

eventually...

Yeah but both teams bullpens are lights out so chances are most games are going to be decided late in the game for whichever bullpen breaks first.

That said, do you know the Royals rotation outside game 1? Ventura or Vargas game 2? I don't like Vargas against the Os regardless but Game 2 in Baltimore could get ugly.

Ventura is game 2, that much we know for sure.

Living in mid Missouri, I have to root for the Orioles. Royals in the World Series would cause way too much chaos.

Royals are the best road team in baseball.
O's had an excellent home field advantage.

The Orioles led the majors in home runs, while the Royals finished last.
The Royals led the majors in stolen bases, while the Orioles finished last.

Speed vs Power. Fun series right here.

.

I may be wrong here, sure wouldn't be a first... Moose is implying with such strong pens the games may be decided against the starters and not late with a Tigeresque breakdown. Either way long ball vs small ball, I am loving it.

Yeah I know but what I was saying was even in their last series the Royals had 2/3 decided in late innings.

Orioles as well. Although game 1 they always had the lead.

I think this series and the Giants/Cards comes down to the late innings like just about every game this post season. Way too many close games. It the teams that get to the bullpens that will win.

in addition to the bullpen battle, both teams excel at the comeback, while not ideal, neither team will be totally shaken to be down by 2-3 runs early in the game..

Happy as hell that the Orioles made it

Still waiting for Yost to find a way to derail the Royals chances.

I think the more telling stat is that KC is 24-9 in their last 33 road games (including playoffs).
