Crash gets a pass because he lived there when he was a kid.

If you're a fan of a team like the cowboys but have lived in Cincinnati your whole life then you're a douche.

I live in Connecticut and I like the Bengals. I should be committed.

He also had a great defense and one of the best if not the best run blocking line and running game in the league for a couple years. Play action is much easier when everyone is expecting the run.

And Dalton didn't?? I'd say our defense over the past two seasons has been every good as good as that Jets D.

Their running game was very good though - Can't argue that.

Agreed that the defenses off-set, but Sanchez was asked to be more of a manager of the offense and not get into the way of the running game.

Dalton had no such luck with the running game, and Gruden was intent on making his QB throw the ball 35+ times a game.

Dalton is every bit of a game manager in this offense. The vast majority of passes are single reads and/or quick routes. It's managing a different way than a QB on a team that is heavy on the run. It amounts to the same thing.

I agree with this.... While the Bengals passed more than average under Gruden, how many of those passes were screens or single reads? It's not like Dalton was directing a vertical passing game. Against some teams it worked perfectly (remember the Buffalo game last year?).... Against good teams it was worthless.

I think, to get it exactly right, Dalton is a game mismanager in this offense. Show us differently, Andy.......
