honestly, i thought he looked a lot better this season towards the beginning of the year, and i know that power forwards take a lot longer to develop than other players...but 0 goals in 12 games and he was a 2nd overall pick 3 and a half years ago? at least last year he was a point per game player for his first 2 months. whats going on here? we have lots of guys playing well right now but just imagine if a guy like JVR started scoring. he needs to start putting pucks in. 12 games and no goals is not good.

I think hes just too predictable. He will try to out skate the defender on the outside and drive towards the net all game. Once the D sees it once, hes pretty much useless on the ice. I still think not playing him in the AHL for half of last year hurt him in his development. Hopefully he can get it going soon.

atleast he's not getting abused defensively. as long as we are winning I will stay patient, i have seen flashes of a 2nd overall pick. for me he gets a few more months of mediocre production before i turn on him.

you know i think your are right, he still doesnt have that chip on his shoulder to take it himself sometimes. he needs to realize he is a scorer and its okay to be selfish.
