Not illegal in Colorado- but banned in NFL. Don't know why these boneheads think they can get away with this behavior, particularly when the consequences are so severe. This one costs Blackmon a few hundred thousand? As an old hippy from the 70s, weed is a drug that you can put down and abstain from with just a little self control. What an idiot.

I smoke regularly but with millions of dollars on the line (or a different but appealing enough job), how hard is it to hold off? I personally would give heavy preference to a job that didn't treat me like a child and drug test me, but professional sports testing for performance enhancing drugs is one of the few exceptions that make sense (although weed is not a performance enhancer and testing for it is absurd). The only other real exception are doctors and other people with lives on the line with their work. Beyond that, I would be highly hesitant to take a job that drug tests simply because it isn't their business.

But when you know they will, don't do it.
