That's bad news. I think in a lot of cases, they just put a splint on it and let 'em play. Hopefully this is one of those cases.

He leads Virginia in scoring(13.9 PPG) and three point percentage(46/92- 50%). That is a heavy blow to the Cavs if he cannot play.

Yep. The surgery aspect of his injury is the biggest deal. He may not return for the season because of that. Six weeks is pretty generous considering he undergoes any type of surgery.

Very disappointed.
UVA is the last team that deserved to have one of their players go down in this fashion.
Not that any team deserves it, but UVA deserved a run at it with their full team. Their kind of team does not grow on trees.

Huge loss for Virginia. Because teams had to respect his 3 point shooting, it created openings inside for the big man; Toby. IMO, it's going to be difficult for Virginia to beat the top teams without him; although they still handled Louisville the entire 2nd half without him. Great player; sure fire NBA early draft.

I think they could be fine without him depending on when he gets back. Selection Sunday is exactly five weeks away, if he's out six weeks, he could theoretically be back for the round of 32 game on either the following Saturday or Sunday.
Their schedule isn't very daunting the rest of the regular season. Even if they lose a couple heading into the ACC tournament I still think they are in great shape to be a 1 seed. Heck even if they end up a 2 seed they should still be fine, presuming they get him back. They'll still open up in Charlotte that opening weekend. Not all is lost IMO.
