Wonder Woman promo:
You think there's any chance it matches the high bar set by BvS or SS?I cannot wait for this.
I've already been starting planning the viewing with my bro from college.
This is it. This is ittttttttttttt.
You think there's any chance it matches the high bar set by BvS or SS?
One can only hope...
MoS was better than it gets credit for, but "classic"?MoS was a classic.
The highest of high bars.
Marvel can't even touch that one.
I think it's gonna be fucking epic.
MoS was better than it gets credit for, but "classic"?
And to follow it up with two absolute stinkers does not inspire confidence.
The problem was that people thought the source material for BvS was actually good.
It's really shit. People finally got to see how stupid it was here in this medium.
It still amazes me after a year the amount of people I talk too who still don't understand that scene.
Is there supposed to be some deeper meaning? It still amazes me after a year the amount of people I talk too who still don't understand that scene.
Is there supposed to be some deeper meaning?
"You are too powerful to have the unchecked reign you have, so I have dedicated the last 2 years of my life to bringing you down. But since our mothers share a name, you must be a swell guy. Wanna go get some cocoa?"

That may very well have been the intended meaning of the scene, but it was executed HORRIBLY. That explanation makes the "Martha" connection completely meaningless, but the scene, as presented, made it seem like "Martha" was the meaning of the shift.Since Batman saw what Superman did to Metropolis that day fighting Zod he was determined to stop him because to him he didn't have any humanity and passion and didn't care if innocent people died as long as the ends justified the means. During the Martha scene Superman was so willing to accept his death as long as Batman saved his mother it made Batman realize that he was wrong about Superman given he was willing to die as long as Batman saved an innocent.
I know a lot of people hated it but Batman's reasoning for doing what he did in that movie and his reasons for distrusting Superman is something I really loved about the movie.
