So Grimes is 31 and he is making 8 million. Im on board for giving Riley 5-6 mil per season. If he gets offered the Butler deal then its fair. I've updated the Butler deal in an earlier post. I thought Riley wanted 7. Are you sure Riley is only asking for 5.5 a year annually? Why would he Skins let him walk at that number?

Decker wants 8-9 million annually. No Way! Not for a #2 WR. That is Garcon money. Im curious to see what Nicks asks for. He is 26 years old.

A 26yr old stud that has shown some problems with health. Hopefully that drops his cost a bit! Doubt it though, he's pretty legit.

Do we take a chance at 5-6 million on him? Or do we bring Riley back for that money? The safer play is Riley.

Thats what Kiem reported this morning that he is asking for. But who knows. And i will say this, people around here have been saying he was only worth $3.5- 4 million. SO if thats how the front office is thinking, I can see why he is balking

I said all along his value is 3.5 to 4 mil/season. Apparently the organization believes his value is closer to what I have said. With that being said, I'd be willing to do a 6 year/30mil contract with 12 mil guaranteed. Structured as such...2,3,5,5,5,10.

So we got conflicting reports. NO surprise there. But weather or not any one wants to admit it, two outside FAs will likely cost us as much or more than bringing back Riley and one FA. And two outside FA's is more likely to perform worse than Riley and one FA. So even if its $2 million difference I still stand by the fact that you pay your own and dont create holes over an amount that you will likely spend any way to fill the position. We have done this many times before, and more often than not it burned us.

That's salary. Considering he's getting 12 mil in guarantees...that's all that really matters. When I talk structure, I am usually referring to cap numbers.

So asically half what a good playmaker injury prone ILB is worth apparently right? Or maybe Half mill more. Sheesh
