Yeah, I've seen some of the local guys questioning the messaging he put out along with the logo. Personally, I have no issues with the logo, that was an addidas generated thing. But his message was a bit over the top. He needs to realize that he has not arrived. In the grand scheme of things, he hasn't accomplished anything yet. It's a maturity thing that he will come to realize. He needs to stop trying to be a "life coach" and focus on being a better QB.

I do question the timing of the logo release some what. When things should be about the team as a whole, why make a move that screams its all about me?? And i do agree with Lavar a little in that the logo looks like Superman meets Optimus Prime. I get that he needs to make his money. But coming off a 3-13 season you got to wonder a little.

The design, development, and release was all addidas. He was contractually committed. The Instagram launch was all RG3.

Im sure he was contracted committed to do the logo thing. But I would be shocked if that contract went down to we will release this logo on this day no matter what. Just saying, as the PSL crew alluded to... if the Skins and in particular RG3 struggle early, you know this will become an issue.

I think "RGIII" is on the back of his jersey in the very near future, when approved by the NFL. Being a high profile professional athlete today is about "the brand". RG3 is a brand, and he's our QB.

Do you think Gruden will refer to him as Robert this year, or RG3? For my Colorado/Washington Redskins brethren i said refer...not reefer.

HTTR!

I agree. He hasn't really earned the right for this yet. He really needs to hire a pr guy to help him figure out his messaging the timing of it.

Of course I'm sure others will chime in with differing opinions.

Heard Gruden on the radio today. He said this is no big deal. It was an Adidas deal and all these guys have someone who does this work for them. He said no one is working harder than Robert. I also agree that the kid hasn't arrived yet. Very good first year, poor 2nd year, lets see what happens this year.

Personally, I don't care for the timing of it, either. He has not arrived. He had a great rookie season and should've beat the Seahawks in playoffs, if not for the injury. However, he had a bad year--for him--last year. In my opinion, he has a lot to prove, this year. He has been given yet another lethal weapon (DeSean Jackson) on offense, to go along with Garcon, Morris, Reed, and Roberts. Some key defensive pieces have been added. He has got to have a banner year, this year. Period. Damn a new logo. If he does his job, his brand will market itself.

i think the hole thing is silly and in a month we wont be talking about Rg3's logo or DJ's missed week of workouts either

timing smiming . it was already in the works

what next ? KC was at a nats game and his face wasnt buried in the film room

if you can make some cash you do it as long as it doesnt interfere with the team

the level of foolishness in the press about this is astounding

I love how Arrington went off on a major tangent towards the end. The other guys (as much as I don't like them at times) made some relatively good pts and kind of laughed off the whole thing.

Arrington - in his broken record style - tries to tie the whole thing back to the Redskins organization (and no doubt is taking a stab at Snyder) - huh? Jeez Lavar - get over it already. This stuff is getting old.
