AP made comments the other day about wanting to play for the Cowboys ...and I thought he mentioned he had a conversation with Jerry.

said something (missed part of the story on TV) that Jerry took a call from AP or something. Didn't make a call but was handed the phone or something to that nature.

Reading the story I think Jerry's biggest mistake was not informing the Vikings of the call. AS made the call to an investment officer. That investment officer then gave the phone to Jerry without telling Jerry who was on the phone. If the Vikings push this I can see a fine being imposed. Not the first time Jerry fucked up. Won't be the last.

non issue. Author of a story taking some liberties. Heard half a story and assumed the rest.

all the guy heard was jerry's side of the call, saying things like "ok, we can look into that" and "i'd like that". Anything he says AP said is just a guess. He may be right, but being right and proving it are two different things. If jerry and AP both stay quiet, not much can come of this.

In a somewhat odd story out of Dallas, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told ESPN that Adrian Peterson called Jones in June to tell him that he’d like to play for the Cowboys after his tenure with the Vikings. It wouldn’t be a huge shock if the Texas native wanted to play for his home team, but the whole story is a bit strange. Peterson later downplayed the story saying it was a “[ame="[MEDIA=twitter]505059274444533761[/MEDIA]"]casual conversation[/ame]” and that he never said he wanted to leave the Vikings organization. Regardless of what the true story ultimately is, Peterson is under contract until 2017.

Yeah, until the guy asked Jerry and he told him the conversation!!! But, I agree no big deal and nothing will come of it. They really didn't discuss any particulars in 10 seconds so its easy to say it was a joke or just being nice or something like that...
