I'm with ipw. Tarasenko is nasty. Even the preds announcers were going Pierre McGuire on him.
'They need a horn to blow everytime that guys on the ice. He's so dangerous.'

I'm watching that game now. (dvr'd) The guy is flat out disgusting.

*Edit*

As in, great folks. lol

Here's the thing you don't seem to understand. Runblad was traded for the pick. The Blues used the pick to select Tarasenko. Therefore the trade was Runblad for Tarasenko. That's how it works. It doesn't matter whether or not the Sens would have selected him or not. Vladimir Tarasenko is the player the Blues received for David Runblad.

My goodness. You're not too sharp today are you?

The bolded is correct.

That doesn't make the reverse true.

The Senators didn't trade Tarasenko at all. They traded a first round pick.

Jamie Benn was picked with a 5th round pick acquired from Columbus. They flipped 5th round picks.

Was that trade Austin Smith for Jamie Benn?

Of course it wasn't.

Picks (particularly outside of the top 5 overall) are just that. Picks.

But if you think its so, so be it.

This from the guy who told me last year NO way does Cody Ceci drop out out of the top 6 and that Grigorenko was a question mark because GMs weren't sure if he'd come over from Russia.....this last one was said when he'd BEEN PLAYING IN THE Q FOR 5 MONTHS!!

You & I obviously disagree. I see it as the same thing as a big trade. When the Blue Jackets use the 1st round picks they got for Nash & Carter those prospects will be forever linked to those players. Just like Tarasenko will be linked to Runblad.

Okay then.

Not that Murray would EVER have taken a Russian in the first round but okay.

I'm still happy with a Tarasenko for Turris trade.

Centers over wingers any day.

Actually Runblad is linked to both players. Murray traded Runblad not Tarasenko for Turris.

NO kidding???

Of course he did.

But since you're in the business of creating all these imaginary links just take it one step further.

They love him in the STL. They were chanting his name after that goal.

Tarasenko looks good, but I think Andrew Luck has been more impressive this season.

13 points and plus 12 in 18 games while averaging 12 min/game?

Damn. Gonna watch more Habs games.

He's kind of a chippy, mildly dirty player too.

I know Habs fans, and Bruins fans, probably won't want to hear this but he is kind of reminiscent of Marchand.

I see it in some aspects. He has run into numerous goalies so far this year, accidentally I am sure.

Jonathan Huberdeau scores his 11th tonight for the Panthers. That gives him a semi-comfortable lead for rookie goal scoring. Conacher, who has a pretty comfortable lead for points, is next with 7 goals. Also on a team that is almost entirely comprised of minus players, Huberdeau is only a -1.

Jonas Brodin is playing over 20 minutes a night on defense for the Wild - Not bad for a 19 year old.

I still like what I've seen out of Jake Muzzin this year - he makes Doughty look average out there.
