As predicted in a previous thread, looked at the stats and found out that in our brief playoff appearance Joe was our points leader, +/- leader (tied with burns), faceoff leader 61% (of people who actually took more than a handful), average time on ice leader among non-defensive players, and 2nd in shots on goal with 15 (tied 2nd with havlat, couture had 19). I thought he was busting his ass off in the series and I think the sharks can win it all with him.

Big fucking deal. So he had some decent face-off numbers and scored some meaningless goals.

He's not a choker anymore and he's a great captain/leader all of a sudden?

Give me a break.

Thornton's playoff performance the past two seasons is far from being a problem imo. Marleau rarely took any shots and Pavs was trying his best to put a bruise on Elliot's chest with his shots. No wonder he didn't rack up any assists except for in the 4-3 loss. I'm with liolsh, Thornton played well this series. Not his fault Marleau wasn't interested and Pavs couldn't finish a bowl of cereal.
