Well, 1st place!!!

Night and day from a month ago, but the pieces have always been there. Glad to see these guys playing like they should, and proving the haters wrong. Keep playing Dodger Baseball!!!

hope I'm wrong, but tonight probably marks the beginning of Beckett's regression.

We'll see, too soon to tell. Might very well just be a bad outing. He is a little beat up (and has been for some time now), so we'll see.

I don't think you can say a pitcher is on the rise or regressing based on one outing. Beckett just didn't have it against Cleveland. Even Kershaw gets knocked around once in a great while.

If the Dodgers are concerned about Beckett specifically, or the Rotation in general, they may well make a play for Price.

Let's hope that if they do, they don't give up the cream of the farm system. Price isn't worth it.

Dodgers head to Colorado where hopefully they'll rebound. It would be nice to have a healthy Ramirez on hand, but that may not be in the cards.

I'd still like to see the Dodgers make a move for a more accomplished bench player, though I haven't really thought about who that might be.

For now, the Dodgers are only a tick out of 1st Place. Not bad for a club down 9 1/2 only three weeks ago or so.

That was ugly tonight. Just one of those games. Forget about it and come out tomorrow.

Yeah, happens. Detroit is very good and the strike zone was super tight early on which plays right into Detroit's line up strengths.

This team is competing and you really cannot complain about that. However, the bullpen is awful - maybe the worst 'pen I have ever seen as a Dodger fan. Down the stretch or into the playoffs, we could get exposed by our 'pen.

Dodgers reverting to old habits against a superior team.... Puig hits a one-out triple, gets hung out to dry on the base paths. No runs. Detroit leads off with a triple on Grienke and Kinsler knocks him right in.... and the beat goes on against elite teams. Not a good start with Scherzer on the bump.

One thing I did not like was the Dodgers grandstanding in the dugout after Uribe's home run yesterday. Jumping around with the bubble machine in the first inning only to get shelled by Detriot, I mean bitch slapped. I'm all for loose and easy, but when it borders on cocky, overconfident and you show nothing for the next 8 innings all the while a World Series contender is lighting you up, maybe you should rethink first inning bubble celebrations.

No kidding, imagine if Ty Cobb saw that? Well, we know the 2014 Detroit Tigers saw it as it lit a fire under their ass.

Which, unfortunately, carried over to today, also.

Cobb would have been in the middle of the Dodgers dugout kicking some serious ass.
