I think we’ll see something similar to what we saw last year with the Darvish trade.

JD will accept a lukewarm trade offer for a player or two right before the deadline hits. It’s either take what’s offered ( even tho it’s not great) or have the year end and let them walk in free agency.

I would like the chances of that happening if there was some kind of talk about them now. I know there is news out occasionally about Beltre, but most of it concerns there not being any serious enquiries about him. I think it wwould take a long term injury on a really good club for new interest to be ignited after tomorrow.

Injury absolutely is a key. Also Beltre getting hot and not being injured But if I am a betting man Boston only team I like getting him but they have luxury tax issues
