That's a great point about the teams. Maybe they don't go back that far but he was drafted in 2012 so one would think that would be looked into.

I have no pity either but I also realize some 17 year olds are still complete dumb asses. If he was overtly racist there would probably be incidents in the minors. Also, spending a bunch of time in the minors playing with guys from all over the world probably showed him the inanity of racism.

I tend to give guys the benefit of the doubt if a lot of time went by and there were no further incidents. The football player that punched the girl in the face on video at 18 (Mixon?) for example. By the time he was drafted it was 3 years later and he had been a model citizen after that.
