We have two LB's on the PS. Deiontrez Mount who has NFL experience and Jerrol Garcia-Williams who can play OLB and ILB, so we Dora didn't look quite as good as we had hoped because he was PS eligible. I thought Dora was going to make the roster after the first PS game... After that, I was a bit leary.

JGW was the guy mentioned by Brandon Marshall as that guy who reminds him of himself. Loads of potential if a team gives him some time to develop.

I like this signing for sure. He has some decent potential and with the injury history of pretty much every one of our RB's we need a guy that can come up quick and do some damage.

OK, I thought Mount and Garcia-Williams were both inside guys. Mount is 6'5" 253 lbs so if he can play OLB then that's some depth. I thought Dora was a lock for our PS after cuts were announced. I guess not.

Agree on Dora.

This guy may bring his own blocker on 3rd and 1
This may be his primary reason for being on the team
Short yardage

My guess is Booker is the target here. Optics would look bad if top offensive draft picks from 2016 are in trouble 1 year in.

I agree with this. He may be a short yardage solution but something just doesn't feel right about Booker and the Broncos right now. I know he's been out with the injury and the only work this coaching staff saw with him was during OTA's without pads. Broncos saying all nice things about Book but...... They also seem pretty high on Henderson right now but he's a rookie and needs to fix the fumbling.

Booker is having a CT scan on his wrist on Friday. He said he is pain free. If the CT scan comes back clear he will resume practice.

Also- I highly doubt Jonathan Williams can stay on our PS long. Someone is going to want him on their active roster.
Yes Sir. I'm just pretty nervous about Rb slot. CJ missed 10 games, Booker even with wrist missed time last year plus he struggled on short yardage as well. Of course the O line contributed to that more than not, Charles and Henderson are still relatively uncertain. I like this move and I think it shows Denver is concerned a bit about their " stable " at Rb as well.

Not even Shannon Sharpe has his jersey retired so I think the only one is Elway.

I think people are forgetting that David Bruton was the last one to wear number 30 and it's been worn a couple times since Davis retired.

And if you're talking just running back's then Mike Bell wore it in 2007.

#30 was last worn by David Bruton.

Well in a regular season game. BJ Lowery had it in PS last year and Bernard Pierce this year.

I have noticed what Denver will often do with a Bronco icon is give their number some time off but not totally retire it minus the 3 that are. (Manning brought 18 out of retirement) After Davis was gone nobody wore #30 for a few years, then Mike Bell wore it after Travis Henry was signed and wanted #20 so Bell said he'd switch as long as he could have TD's #30 because that was his idol growing up. After Bell it became Bruton's for several years.

When Darrent Williams passed away nobody wore #27 for a few years until Knowshon Moreno did.

Right now this will be the 4th year in a row that nobody wears #24, something tells me it will be available next year though. Seems like most numbers Denver lets someone wear after 2-4 years. (but not 7,18,44)

Sorta like an honor thing but not totally retiring the number, which I like. Never got retiring numbers. Rather do what Denver does and put their name and number in the ring of fame.

The New England Patriots use to retire the mot random players numbers. At one time they had about 5 20's numbers left and the retired numbers were unknown players. They finally took those out of retirement.
