12-team PPR. I have the 6th pick.
Rashaad Penny is available.

If he's there when we draft, should I consider him over a rookie? Thoughts?
Plenty of rookies I would take in 1st round over Penny. I think Penny might last until the 2nd anyway. If you are still rookie hating I think you could get a nice player if you were to trade the 1.6.

You guys have leagues on Sleeper, right?
I have a question about the taxi squad.

Long story short, we have 4 taxi spots, but we purge them before the regular season starts. Because of COVID, we are going to keep the taxi squad players on for the regular season.

Question: so if someone wants to acquire a player from someone else's taxi squad, does ir work like a normal waiver transaction?

In the league i'm in you can add/drop as needed during the off season, but once the season starts if you activate a player from the taxi squad you can't them back on.

That's a fair way to do it - that prevents activation for 1 week (say a bye week) then stashing them back on it.

This is good to know too.
But claiming a player off of another roster, does it work like waivers?

Can't, but i'd be interested in seeing your taxi rules. Sounds similar to the D2 taxi squad i proposed.

I should add its rookie only and players can't be added during the season, but it does appear that we will be able to keep rookies from last year on this year if we never activated them(Going into our 2nd season so i'm still not 100% sure thats how it will be)

We modeled this dynasty league after D2. Everything that OBX seems to do manually can be done on the Sleeper app automatically.

This is another reason I'm asking anyone with Sleeper app experience. While it does have some nice dynasty options, i wish there were better descriptions.

Here's our options:

From what i understand when i set this up in 2019, after preseason week 4, any players still on taxi can be plundered by other owners. But i cant find this explanation to verify.

To complicate things this year, we didnt use taxi last year as it was intended. For many owners this was there first experience with a dynasty league. So after preseason week 4 (and prior to regular season week 1) i purged/cleared everyone's taxi squad.

Some of my fringe guys:
Jamaal Williams
Corey Davis
Justice Hill
Gus Edwards

Available players that I might be willing to take a shot on:
Chase Edmonds
Justin Jackson
Larry Fitzgerald
Malcolm Brown
Randall Cobb
Giovani Bernard
Chris Thompson
Devin Duvernay (r)

I really like Gus. Sorry. :L To many, he may seem like the easy cut. But from what I've read, Justice Hill may be the guy on the roster bubble.

Not a auto dump but Edmonds would have a much higher ceiling. Cobb could be useful. I’d hold onto Davis because there is still hope.

I think Gus is buried this year with Dobbins and Ingram fighting for the lead back role. If you are trying to win now, I think Fitz would be at the top of my list of those guys. Malcolm Brown would be up there as well. At this point, he has a decent job of having the starting gig right out the gate. Not sure how long he would hold onto it for, though. He's risky, but so are most of the guys on this list.

Is it one of those things where you drop a guy from the top list for a guy on the bottom list?

Yes.
Actually, my starting WR are strong. Tyreek, Davante, Lockett and Boyd.
My RB outside of Derrick Henry are weak.
I might be playing matchup roulette with my RB2 all season.
That's why I might take whoever has the higher ceiling (or highest floor) in either Chase Edmonds, Justin Jackson, Malcolm Brown, Giovani Bernard, or Chris Thompson.

Edmonds is a injury away from being a impact RB IMO.

Who do I cut for him? Justice Hill or Jamaal Williams?

Either would be OK. Williams offers more of a floor since he will get carries. Some chance the Hill could eventually be a change of pace RB and I give him a higher ceiling and a lower floor..

Probably Justice to many mouths to feed i that backfield and I think Jamaal is probably still the best option on third downs for GB for now
