Amid multiple reports that Washington is about to sign Scot McCloughin, the question has come up a time or two as to the future of Bruce Allen. Depending on how this plays out.......Allen maintaining final say or giving it up, Allen could very well end up with the most secure job outside of ownership.

this is so confusing because we do not know the answer & can just be dismissed as CSI stuff.

Even though McCloughan technically has final say on personnel matters, he still has to go through Allen to get deals completed, which is one way to limit the GM’s power.

i was really hopeful we FINALLY had a true talent evaluator in charge ... but if this is how the organization is operating .... & SM just has in inflated title .... I am beyond disappointed ... because nothing has changed.

It is amazing how wins often mute dissension unfortunately for us the bar was set at making the play-offs. Failing that with a finish of a pretty average season total of 8-7-1 got us here. Fans/followers are extremely fickle that way. For us here in D.C. the old futility wounds aren't sufficiently healed enough for us to look at failing to make the play-offs after making them as progress. We are not there yet!
