Do you feel the program is headed in the right direction? Is this years team any better than the 07-08 team? Give me some reasons to believe in the future becasue what I see is a team that is less athletic than about ten other teams in the Big12. We lose the only player on the team that can consistently get the ball up the floor and into our stall game without turning it over. He also leads us in points, steals, assists and i think is second in rebounds to another guard. Diaz is promising and McCray at least looks like a D-1 basketball player but the rest of the team could easily be confused with a middle of the pack missouri valley team. Doc's track record of bringing in talent does not lead me to believe that some incoming freshman are going to be contributors.

I will be honest, if we weren't buliding this new stadium downtown, I would think we are just going to keep going in the direction we are going. Because in all honesty, we just can't get the recruits that these other major conference schools are getting. Just like you said, right now we have a team full of some of the worst recruits in the country.

What gives me hope though, is the fact that Doc is managing to get it done with these guys. I don't know how in the hell he's doing it to be honest..........Texas comes in with one of the best recruiting classes ever, puts 5 future NBA players on the floor, and we walk away winning the game with our 5 juco transfers. I mean it's unbelievable.

The new facilities we are building is going to draw in recruits..........I really do believe that. Like I have said once before, if Doc had the recruits that Kansas or Texas has, he would make a run for the Final 4 easily. Bill Self and Bobby Knight have both said that Doc Sadler is one of the best coaches in the game, and I completely agree with him on that.

So right now I am placing my hopes in the new facilities bringing in recruits. I know we have three "3-star" recruits coming in right now, which is a step up compared to just getting juco transfers. This season itself has just given me a lot of hope for the future.

I think that he is a good coach.......really good defensive coach. Not sure about the offensive side of the ball but he has not had too many offensive threats to work with. I am sure recruiting talent to Lincoln is tough as hell, but he is in year 5 and has still not produced very much success. I hope that you are right on the new facilities and that our talent level increases. I just have not seen much improvement in the guys even after they have been in the program a few years. McRay Jones and Ubel are all three star guys along with Jeter and Almeida out of the juco ranks. Now granted it seems that we never have a player for more than 2 years which is a problem as well. I would much rather have a good recruiter than a good coach in college basketball.
