Hell fucking yes. This is fantastic. Short term for flexibility, low low cap hit, I love it.

Yup. It sounds pretty sweet to me.

We all knew Holland was a master drafter, now he's fleecing agents on contracts too? :L

I'm good with this deal, Howard is still going to have to earn his pay, two year deal, low cost. If he doesn't work out in two years, not a ton of commitment.

Only issue now is Ozzie, will he retire? Go another year? Whichever Holland will have to start looking for a better back-up when Chris hangs them up.

*cough*Islanders and their eighteen goaltenders*cough*

If they can get Nabby under the cap, that would work, I personally don't want to see any younger players go.

Ozzie's cap hit is only 1.4M, he is a UFA end of season. Think Nabby will come in for that kind of money..?

I really don't know all the legal wranglings but I wouldn't be unhappy to have Nabokov as a back-up. If the alternative was playing for the Islanders, Nabby might sign with Detroit for even less than 1.4 mil. :D (sorry dabolts :()

glad to keep howie but i would be much happier if he would work on what i see as a big problem, but im not an expert so i could be wrong. to me he has a problem with over committing on lateral movements and then being out of place to make the save when he gives up a fat rebound.
