Pretty sure A&M would beat the crap out of the Longhorns right now. But they're definitely not scared to play tough out of conference opponents. Clemson, Notre Dame, Miami, etc. You gotta admire that, though Texas is starting to do that as well (we'll see how that goes for them).

I find this annoying because A&M kept asking to renew it when they first moved to the SEC and Texas was against it. Now Texas is open to it an A&M doesn't want it. I guess they need to do what most the southern states had to do and have the state legislature force the schools to play each other (I know this happened with Alabama-Auburn and I believe it also happened with Florida-FSU and Kentucky-Louisville).

Politicians shouldn't be able to force two programs to play each other.

They don't need to play any more. College football has moved way beyond geographic relevance.

Besides, they both generate an insane amount of money without playing each other.... and don't really have a lot to show for that money except for shiny stadiums and other fancy shit.

But hey, give 'em both credit. Both athletic departments send money back to the university instead of sucking it out of them. How many more ADs do that?
