When he was coming up with the Yanks they made his bat sound like he was the 2nd coming of Cano. And he had some success for about 50 at bats when they brought him up. Maybe his head swelled and made his gut swell. Hopefully he's grown up. I'd like to see him and Pineda have good years and the trade work out for both sides

I like how Montero addressed IceCreamSandwich Gate. He apologized to the scout who's no longer even with the team which shows a modicum of maturity, IMO.

Ya, I think he has handled his whole circumstance like a pro. He is a kid who made mistakes but seems to have owned them which is all you can ask. I do think there was too much pressure put on him as a Yankee prospect and then with the M's. A kid with all the pressure of saving an offense might have been too much. Now he can just be a bat among a lineup.
