According to pirates prospects, Jeff Locke is on his way to Pittsburgh. No word on the corresponding roster move, yet.

Thanks for that news, evolver..... although it seems strange and of serious concern.

- "Strange" because of the recent trade of Owens and the reported news of Wilson moving to the bullpen at Indianapolis. I recognize that McPherson has also been recently promoted to Indy, but it appears that a Locke promotion would leave the Indy rotation one man short. They still have Daniel Cabrera, Leroux, and VandenHurk, and presumably McPherson will join the rotation. Maybe Jo-Jo Reyes is ready to come back from the disabled list.

- "Of concern" because, if the report is accurate, it's gotta mean that the Pirates have another injured pitcher (or possibly that someone is being traded). I haven't found any relevant transaction news at this point (about 1:25pm on Wednesday). I'm HOPING that the news is that Correia has been traded in a waiver deal for something useful, and that Locke will start tonight's game.

Pressley sent down to AAA. Seems like they are stacking that team up for a playoff run......well, minus any real pitching.

I think it is due to Correia starting a game and Locke is just insurance as long relief during that time. I wonder if he will go back down when Correia is ready for bullpen duty? If that is the case and need another OF if Presley or Tabata will come back up?

I would think that Corriea goes back to the pen, but I'm not sure who would come up since I believe Presley needs to stay down 10 days before he can come back up, unless there is a DL move.
