Which game did young play with broken ribs?
I don't like the criticism.
Broke them against the Eagles and then played a few series against the Packers in 96.

Sure he was good. But he sure as hell wasnt great in the post season. Especially not for what he had around him. We would have beat Dallas in '92 had Montana played in that game..just so you know.
Do you remember the games that Troy Aikmen and Emmitt Smith had that day? Jesus, since when is a football team a one man show.
Youngs turnovers didnt hurt us in any of those games?? I remember the Falcons game well, Young had three very costly INT's in that game.
A little post-season running back comparison for some of the Steve Young era:
'97 season final playoff game
Dorsey Levens 27 rushes 114 yds 1 TD, 4 rec 27 yds
Kirby 6 for 21, 4 rec 7
Heart 8 for 12, 3 rec 14
'96 season final playoff game
Young hurt but lets look at the running back anyway
Kirby 6 for 14, 6 rec 35 1 TD
Floyd 5 for 13, 6 rec 30
Edgar Bennett 17 for 80 2 TD, 2 rec 14
Levens 15 for 46, 2 rec 16
'95 season final playoff game
Loville 8 for 5 1 TD, 7 rec 70
Bennett 23 for 51
'93 season final playoff game
Emmitt Smith 23 for 88 1 TD, 7 rec 85 1 TD
Watters 12 for 37 1 TD, 7 rec 33
'92 season final playoff game
Emmitt Smith 24 for 114 1 TD, 7 for 59 1 TD
Watters 11 for 69, 6 for 69
This is a pretty good article about Young. I don't think he is better than Montana, but still a good read.
Could Steve Young Actually Be Better Than Joe Montana? | Bleacher Report
Of course he was better than Montana. Montana had much better running games and defenses than Steve.
Wow..
From Garcia > Young to Young > Montana in less than three pages...
Great counter-argument.
